One question, one credit — however many lookups the AI makes while answering it. If it fails on our side (timeout, error, rate limit we didn't absorb) the credit comes back; a request that is itself invalid (say, too long and rejected) still counts, or a request built to fail would be an unlimited free tier.

The code is open source (AGPL-3.0), and you can also deploy it yourself with Docker.
The AI is still there; it just tells you the credits are gone. They don't refill — put your own DeepSeek key in settings to keep going, which bypasses our allowance entirely and counts nothing. The rest of the CRM is unaffected.
We don't plan to charge for anything that's free today. Both the personal and team editions are free, and the code is open source. What we may charge for later are separate services — private deployment, custom features, extra AI credits — and buying them is up to you. Skipping them takes nothing away from what you use now.
